Most platform pages describe features. This one describes a Tuesday.
A plain walkthrough of running your association’s website on TaliCMS, written for the person who’ll be doing it, not the person signing the contract.
Book a walkthroughTuesday, before noon
- Done: Post the board meeting agenda
- Done: Add three new affiliate members
- Done: Move the education class to a new room
- Still to do: Publish the president’s message
Each one takes a few minutes in the admin. No ticket, no developer.
The short version
It is not your AMS
Membership records, dues and NRDS data stay where they are. TaliCMS connects to them.
You log in at /admin
You see the things your site is made of: News, Events, Documents, Committees, Staff, Pages.
Click, edit, save
The site updates. The rest of this page is detail.
01 · Publishing a page
Pages are built from blocks you stack in order.
Each block is already styled to your association’s brand, so a page built in four minutes looks like a page your designer built. You can’t accidentally publish something off-brand.
- Draft and preview: send the link to your AE for sign-off before anything goes public.
- Version history: see what changed and roll back, including the header and footer navigation.
02 · Events and education
The calendar populates itself.
If your association uses an events or registration feed, TaliCMS pulls it in on a schedule. Events you run yourself work like any other content: create, set the date, publish. It appears everywhere it should, automatically.
- In production: Tangilla event feeds at Columbus REALTORS® and Abilene Association of REALTORS®, and EdConnect course feeds at Texas REALTORS®.
03 · Members and directories
Your member data lives in your system of record. TaliCMS reads it.
Find a REALTOR®, brokerage lists and affiliate lists reflect your actual membership without staff maintaining a second copy. When someone joins or leaves, the directory follows.
- Connected so far: NAR’s M1 Gateway for NRDS member and office data, and Tangilla member and office feeds.
- At Texas REALTORS® that is 146,014 members and 35,951 offices syncing automatically.
04 · Member-only content
Gated behind whatever login your members already use.
It doesn’t create a new password for them to forget. The rule we work to: no member should need a second login to read a document.
- Separate logins are one of the most common complaints association staff hear. It is a platform decision, not an inevitability.
- In production: Clareity sign-in at Abilene Association of REALTORS®, the same credentials members use for the MLS, and Auth0 with NAR sign-in at Texas REALTORS®.
05 · Documents - the part nobody demos
Every association is sitting on hundreds of PDFs.
TaliCMS organises them into folders you control, with proper titles and descriptions, so they can be browsed. And at Texas REALTORS® search reads inside the documents: a phrase on page 6 of a PDF finds that PDF.
- If your staff spend time answering “where do I find the…” emails, this is the part that gives you time back.
06 · Listings and market statistics
Live on the public site, straight from your feeds.
Listings come from your MLS feed and stay current. Market statistics arrive as monthly PDFs at one association; the platform extracts the numbers so the site shows real charts by city and county instead of a download link.
- Three MLS standards in production: RESO Web API, Trestle and legacy RETS.
What it doesn’t do
A vendor who won’t name the boundaries is a vendor who’ll surprise you later.
It is not an AMS
No dues, no membership records, no accounting. It connects to the system that does those.
It doesn’t replace your MLS
It displays listings from your MLS feed.
It won’t write your content
A new platform makes publishing easy; it doesn’t decide what your association should say.
